How to Root And Flash TWRP Recovery in Xiaomi Mi4c (Tutorial)

Xiaomi Mi4c is Xiaomi's Latest Flagship Handset, It houses Snapdragon 808 HexaCore Processor Coupled with 2GB of RAM.Its Runs On Android 5.1.1 Over MIUI7. Here is Rooting Method for Xiaomi Mi4c. This Method Can Give You Root Access and Also will Provide to Flash TWRP Recovery. I dont Personally have MI4c But i Have Verified The Method From MIUI Fourm And You Can it !


 Things That You Need:-




Lets See How to Flash TWRP Recovery 1st !

Note:- Enable USB Debugging mode, For that go to Settings> About Phone> MIUI version / Build number (click to 7 times) and then back to Settings> Developer Options> USB Debugging (tick to enable)

  • Install Xiaomi usb drivers Provided Above.
  • Extract Mi4c Root Tool in Your Computer
  • Boot your phone into fastboot mode by pressing volume down key and pressing power key Simultaneously ,and then releasing power key .
  • Connect your Xiaomi Mi4C to your computer through data cable
  • On your computer, go to the folder Mi4c-root-tool, then press the "Shift" key and Right Click, then select "Open command_window here" 
  • Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and press Enter key
  • It Will Flash TWRP Recovery ! Done !

Now Lets See How to ROOT MI4c ?
  • Download SuperSu.zip file & put to your Sdcard 
  • Reboot into TWRP Recovery 2.8.7.0 for Xiaomi Mi4C
  • Select to SuperSU.zip file And Then Swipe to flash
  • After Flashing Reboot The System
  • Enjoy!! your phone rooted!!

    How can I enter TWRP? I only could enter miui recovery and nothing usefull there.

      you have to reboot to recovery mode DIRECTLY after you install twrp succesfully so if installation is finshed , do NOT reboot your fone with power button, or do not use command fastboot reboot.

      But press directly volume up key and power button!

      This worked for me, i was going crazy over this, but if you do fastboot reboot or just press power button first, the system somehow recovers MIUi recovery, and you will never get into twrp.

    Hi for you people where TWRP did not work after install via fastboot, i had same problem, and was also noob in rooting, it's my second device i root sucessfully now.

    It is nowhere mentioned in the tutorials. But you have to reboot to recovery mode DIRECTLY after you install twrp succesfully so if installation is finshed , do NOT reboot your fone with power button, or do not use command fastboot reboot.

    But press directly volume up key and power button!

    This worked for me, i was going crazy over this, but if you do fastboot reboot or just press power button first, the system somehow recovers MIU recovery, and you will never get into twrp.

    Also if you get into twrp, don't worry if it seems to freeze, just press power button, you get locked message, and then the swiping will work after a minute or something, don't panic.

    Also at one time my phone seemed to be bricked after some reboots and new roms. No reaction to usb, or power cable, no rebooting with any button. If this happens, simply hold your power button for about 30 seconds(or more), and you will get some sort of a factory reset of booting system.

    Now running unofficial CM 12.1 rooted on xiaomi mi4c, and happy(only flashlight doens't work, is mentioned in info) But finally got rid of all chinese bloatware!
