OctOs (5.1.1) ROM for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G (Full Review + Download Links)

Hello Guys, I am Back With Another ROM Review For Redmi Note 3G Users. This Time I Had Reviewed OctOs For Xiaomi Redmi Note. OctOs is an Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) variant based ROM Which is Using CyanogenMod 12.1 codebase. It Has Been Ported Our Device By Developers XZT Team And Kermi. So All The Credits For ROM Goes to Them and Thanks Them For Their Work.

About ROM:- As Already Said:- OctOs is an Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) variant based ROM Using CyanogenMod 12.1 codebase. It's Pretty Sleek ROM and In My Point of View I Think Its Best ROM in Performance Than CM12.1 & PAC. This ROM About 389MB In Size, Still There is No Gapps So We Have to Flash Them Separately. The Weird Or Unique Thing About This ROM is It Uses Some Custom ROM Installer to Flash It, Means When You Select This ROM to Be Flashed On TWRP, Then It Opens One Strange UI ( Fully Chinese But There I'd English Subtitles too). You Have To Browse Through That UI And Flash It.

ROM Review:-

Note:- This ROM Follows Different Installing Strategy So Read How to Flash Section Below And Think Twice Before Flashing.

• OctOS is Smooth ROM and Performance Wise too Its Better than CM12.1 and PAC. Its About 389MB in Size Still It Doesn't Have GApps in Built.
• As I Expected on Benchmarks too It Performs Well, Antutu Was on 32K and Nenamark 2 is at 61Fps.
• WiFi,Bluetooth, Data Connection ( SIM1 Only 3G/2G) Works Fine But I Guess there is Problem with WIFI In which SOMETIMES Signals gets Struct Sometimes.( After reboot It Works Well ). OTG is also Working Fine even Video Recording Is Working Fine.
• Camera is Great in This ROM, Off Course Its Not As Good as MIUI6/7 , It is Set at 8MP But Its Quality is Above Average When We Compare it to Other Android 5.1.1 ROMs For Redmi Note. i Have Attached Some Pictures Shot By Redmi Note, You Can Check them Out.
• OctOs Comes with Dolby Atmos Sound Which Provides Good Sound Quality Than Other ROMs. 
• For Gaming, Modern Combat 5,Dead Space Worked Pretty Well. However Dead Trigger 2 Gave me Forced Close ( Incompatibility I Guess )
• An Strange Issue With This ROM is About POWER OFF Feature. In which If You Switch off Your Device Then After Some Tme If You Tried to Switch it on Normally Then too it Goes to TWRP Recovery( Dont Know Why ?) in Such Situation in TWRP, Select Reboot Option and Under that Select "System". Now It Will Boot in System.
• For Bugs and Problems, You Can Notice that Still Screen Recorder is Not Working Which is becomed hazard in All Android 5.1.1 ROMs For Our Device :(. GPS (GMaps) Is Still Not Working In This ROM. Where Google Sync is Still Giving Old Problems ( Reboot Can Fix it).
• Like All The CM12.1 Based ROMs, OctOs Also Comes With variety of Customization Options Like App SIdebar, Gesture Anywhere etc You Can Check Them Out in Settings.
• For Me, Connect to PC for File Transfer is also Not Working ! Phone Gets detected But I am Unable to Access it.

Final Words Upon Review:-

• OctOs is Not That Much Bad, If You Want Android 5.1.1 and Stock Android Experience and Same way You Also Dont Care GPS Issue Then OctOs is Most Preferable to You !
• I will Suggest You to try It Atleast Once It will Clear Your Doubt Easily However Do Note Installation Is Not As Easy As Other ROMs.

• Screen Recording Is Not Working.
• GPS is Not Working
• Enters into Recovery After Power Off(Fix:- Do a Boot From Recovery )
• Camera is only 8Mp Resolution

How to Flash it :-

(Before Doing all of This i will Suggest to download Stcok MIUI ROM and Keep it as Backup in your PC )

 MiUi 5 Full ROM Download

• Make Sure You Have Rooted Your Device and Also Flashed Latest TWRP Recovery (Use 2.8.6 linked Above). (If You have Not Check how to Root And Flash Recovery We have Posted it )
• Now Download OctOs ROM Place them in External/Internal SDCARD (Without in any Folder)

• Now Reboot Your Device to Recovery, for that go to Updater app ,Select Menu button>there will be option that "Reboot in Recovery" OR Switch off Your Device and Press Volume Up+ Power Button At Same Time Till MI Logo Comes.
• Now Backup Your Old ROM i.e MIUi from TWRP Recovery. And Select Install Zip > Now Choose file ROM File.zip(ROM) And Flash it
• It Will Open an Strange White Color Installler For ROM within TWRP, Just Select Appropriate Choices and Select Next( If Any Chinese Option is There Select next and Go Further ) 
• It will flash the ROM and Will Reboot in TWRP And Now Select Reboot And It Will Boot into OctOs ROM.
